Visa Requirements
Citizens of the following countries do not require a visa to enter Belize. United States Canada United Kingdom European Union Caribbean Central American Countries For most nationalities visas are issued upon entry for up to 30 days. Ensure to have your passport on hand. It must be valid for a least six months after your date of arrival.
Travelling with Children
Belize is the perfect destination for family holidays! If traveling with children under the age of 18 years with one parent, please have proper documentation before entering Belize. This includes a valid passport and a notarized letter of authority from the other parent giving travel consent for the child. Getting around once here
All commercial flights land at Phillip Goldson International Airport (PGIA), the countries one and only international airport. The airport is roughly 11 miles northwest of Belize City, making for a 10-15 minute drive into Belize City. From the Philip Goldson airport, many hotels offer airport shuttle services; however, taxis are also available outside the arrivals gate. A taxi to Belize City costs roughly BZ$50 for one to two individuals or BZ$60 for three or more individuals. Once in the city, getting anywhere is relatively quick and easy. Taxis costs BZ$10 if you are venturing around Belize City.
DOMESTIC FLIGHT
Apart form the International Airport the Municipal Airport offers domestic flights to different areas in Belize. Routes include San Pedro (Ambergris Caye), Belmopan, Caye Caulker, San Ignacio, Corozal, Dangriga, Orange Walk, Placencia, Punta Gorda and the international airport.
